Change Makers: for Mental Health 0.2

Events

For the second year running, we are proud to present our Design Change Makers event on ‘Creativity and the Challenges of Mental Health & Well-Being’ to be held on 01.03.19. The event will inform, engage and inspire creative thinkers to explore positive solutions within this challenging realm, showcasing some amazing projects from industry professionals, graduates and students who have already used their talents to create positive change. Watch our video from last years event or read our blog post for more details. Click here for tickets to this years event.

Speakers on the day will include our very own Chrissy Levett discussing mental health related entries to the Creative Conscience awards, Merlin Nation from Working Progress, an animation studio with the belief that ‘great animation can be a powerful force for positive change’, Irene Palacio, a freelance art director and photographer with special interest in using design and art as a means for change, Trylife Creators Paul Irwin & Nicky Kaur whose platform allows users to explore various experiences that can effect our mental health through interactive video, Tessa Blencowe, a digital storyteller and documentary filmmaker and Bernard Hay, producer of adult learning at The Design Museum and co-founder of Four by Three magazine. Joining our keynote speakers will be a panel of student and graduates including Jacob Ham, Sara Lopez, Rosa Kim, Gabriela Matouskova and Abi Fletcher who will be discussing their projects surrounding the topic of mental health.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our partners, the UAL Postgraduate Community, The Design Museum and Lecture in Progress for their support of this event.
