Every year 8,000 foster children turn 18. This isn’t only a difficult time for them as young adults preparing for independence, but they can now access their case files too.

They learn about their past through sentences with no character, with everyones (social workers/ foster carers etc.) opinions but theirs. Typecast is changing that.

An online website called TypeCast allows foster kids to share their stories. It acts as a forum for them, allowing them to speak to others who understand them. They can reword their files together.

Their reformed files will be fed live to billboards across all major cities, showing the general public the real story. It will improve awareness in society but also give those from care the confidence to continue defying all expectations.
